Understand the Proposed Plan

The enLIGHTen III uses different wavelengths and pulse durations for different tattoo pigments. Bonnie will review your tattoo before estimating a treatment course.

Consultation and Preparation

Bonnie reviews the area, skin type, treatment history and your goals. Share your medicines, skincare products and any recent sun exposure. Follow the preparation instructions for your treatment; do not stop prescribed medicines without your prescriber's guidance.

Your Treatment

The enLIGHTen III platform combines picosecond and nanosecond pulses with three wavelengths: 532 nm, 670 nm and 1064 nm. Different settings can be considered for different pigments. During your consultation, discuss your tattoo, skin, expected treatment course and realistic limitations with Bonnie.

Protective eyewear and treatment-specific comfort measures are discussed before the procedure.

Care After Your Visit

Follow the instructions for cleansing, skincare and sun protection. Redness, swelling, discomfort or pigment changes can occur, with recovery depending on the procedure and your skin. Bonnie can explain what to expect and when to contact the team.

Results and Follow-Up

The number of sessions varies with the tattoo’s size, colors, depth, age, location and previous scarring. Fading develops gradually, with healing time between treatments. Complete clearance cannot be guaranteed. Discuss your recommended treatment course and the time between sessions during your consultation.
