Bonnie reviews the area, skin type, treatment history and your goals. Share your medicines, skincare products and any recent sun exposure. Follow the preparation instructions for your treatment; do not stop prescribed medicines without your prescriber's guidance.

Your Treatment

The CUTERA enLIGHTen III has three wavelengths and both picosecond and nanosecond pulse options. Those capabilities can provide different ways to address pigment, but they are not a guarantee that every color will clear. Bonnie can review the pigment, your skin and treatment history before recommending a course.

Protective eyewear and treatment-specific comfort measures are discussed before the procedure.

Care After Your Visit

Follow the instructions for cleansing, skincare and sun protection. Redness, swelling, discomfort or pigment changes can occur, with recovery depending on the procedure and your skin. Bonnie can explain what to expect and when to contact the team.

Results and Follow-Up

Treatment may involve 1–3 sessions spaced approximately eight weeks apart. Pigment color, depth, age, saturation and previous removal treatments can affect the course. Discuss your recommended treatment course and the time between sessions during your consultation.
